Performance Schedule in NEW YORK

I will be in New York from April 18th to 30th. I warmly welcome anyone who may stop by during this time.

I’ve been quietly asking myself—what should I express in this performance?

In the midst of such profound global shifts, right in the heart of America, what I can offer may be small.
But if there are those who feel anxious, restless, or uncertain about the path ahead,
as someone who lives through words, I wish to offer something that may gently transform those fears.

To those who gather in this moment—
I hope to send words that light the way forward,
so that we, born into this extraordinary time, may walk hand in hand,
smiling, toward a brighter future.

Among many kinds of paper, I’ve chosen a delicate one—soft pink with an intricate watermark.
Over its bold calligraphy, I plan to overlay a sheer chiffon fabric,
upon which I will write, in fine strokes, a beautiful poem by Chuya Nakahara.

今回のパフォーマンスで何を描くのが一番いいのだろう、、とずっと考えていました。

あまりにも大きな変化の最中にそのど真ん中のアメリカでわたしが

できることはちっぽけですが、不安や焦り、選ぶ道を迷っている方が多いとしたら

ことばのプロとして、目の前の不安が昇華されるようなそんな言葉を

その場にいる方々に送りたい、、こんな時代に生まれたわたしたちが

手を取り合って幸せな未来へ笑顔で上を向いて歩けるように、、

たくさんある紙の中から、美しい薄桃色の、透かし柄のある紙に大字を。

その上にシフォンの薄い布に華奢な筆で、中原中也のうつくしい詩を

描く予定です。
